Binance Identity Verification Still Under Review: What to Check
Identify the pending application, check for requests and compare submission records with its estimate. A supplement does not establish a new fixed deadline.
If Binance says your identity verification is under review, first check whether it is waiting for a decision or asking you to do something. A request for another document needs attention; an unchanged review status with no request usually calls for waiting. Record the application and any dates shown before trying to submit again.
The guidance below was checked on 20 September 2026. It covers a new personal account, proof of address and a request to update existing verification details. These can have separate results, so a completed ID check does not tell you whether an address document has also been approved.
Check which application is still pending
Open the identification area in the account you used for the application. Read the heading above the status, not just the word “pending.” Is it the original identity check, a residential address check, or a change to details on an already verified account? Keep that heading with the status when you take a note or screenshot.
For example, you might see your identity marked as verified while an address document is still being reviewed. Starting the identity check again would not answer the question about that document. If an update to your name or ID is pending, use the update request and its messages to follow progress instead of assuming the original registration has failed.
Look for a submission confirmation, an application reference if provided, and any timestamp. A saved document preview or a completed face capture can be a step before the final submission. If you stopped at a confirmation screen, read what it still asks you to confirm. Avoid repeatedly pressing a button while an upload or submission is processing.
When an upload button is visible, read the application name and instruction beside it. For a supplement, identify the requested item. For a different check, return to the application you are following. If information still needs confirmation, complete that step. Read an option such as Get Verified Plus alongside its explanation to establish which check it belongs to before using it.
| What you can see | What to check next |
|---|---|
| An application says it is under review | Check for a separate request attached to that application, then keep any estimate or reference it provides. |
| A document or confirmation is requested | Read whether this is a missing original step, a new request, or a different verification level. |
| There is a rejection or approval notice | Match its account, application and date to the pending item before acting on it. |
| The page has no result, or will not load | Treat the status as unknown. A blank page is not evidence of a rejection or an absent application. |
If you cannot establish whether the final submission went through, that is a useful question for support. You do not have to describe it as “an overdue review.” Explain which last step you completed and what the page shows now; this helps separate a submission problem from a decision that is still pending.
Look for a request you need to answer
Read the messages in the identification area and any relevant account notifications. Check the mailbox linked to that account too, including its spam folder. An email received today may concern an earlier attempt, so compare the request and dates before deciding that it replaces the status you just saw.
Separate a request into two parts: which document it names and what needs changing. For a complete address statement, check that statement’s completeness. For a name mismatch, compare the document with the entered name. Prepare the item described in the request. If a sentence is unclear, keep its exact wording and ask official support what it requires before submitting a replacement.
Upload the prepared item through the verified account page or official process named in the request, then complete its confirmation step. Return to that application and look for a status or receipt message, keeping any record provided. If an error appears after file selection, or confirmation remains unfinished, record the error and where you stopped, then address that step.
Our separate guides cover an ID document that is not accepted and a rejected proof of address. Use them for the specific correction requested. Replacing documents that were not questioned can make it harder for you to keep track of what changed.
Once you have supplied the requested information, note both the original submission date and the date of the supplement. Do not erase the earlier date from your notes. If a new message gives an estimate, keep that message as well. It may describe the new request rather than the whole history of your application.
How long should you wait?
Binance’s personal identity verification guide, updated 5 June 2026, says review is usually completed within 48 hours and can take longer in some cases. Its proof of residential address guide, updated 20 April 2026, gives 1–2 working days for reviewing an address document. These references concern different checks; we rechecked both timing statements on 20 September 2026.
| The review you are following | How to use the published guidance |
|---|---|
| Personal identity verification | Use the usual 48-hour period as context, allowing for the longer cases mentioned by Binance. It is not a guaranteed approval deadline. |
| Proof of residential address | Use the stated working-day period. Do not turn it into an exact number of hours on your local calendar. |
| A supplement or an update to existing details | Look for an estimate in that request. Do not assume a fresh standard period starts after every upload. |
If the account page gives an estimate for your specific application, keep it alongside the general guidance. Check whether it refers to completing a review, responding to a message, or doing a step yourself. A deadline for supplying evidence is not an estimate of when Binance will approve it.
Reply deadline or review estimate?
Read who needs to complete which action by that date.
Supply documents by a stated date
Submit the requested item and check it was received. This is your deadline to respond.
How to answer a document requestReview expected by a stated date
Check for any outstanding action. If the estimate passes without a change, ask about this application.
What to include when asking for an updateFor your own record, write the date, approximate time and time zone of the submission. If you only remember the day, say so. Do not invent a precise start time from when you first opened registration. You may have created the account on one day and completed identity submission on another.
After supplying a supplement, keep both submission dates and look for any new estimate. Record when you first submitted, when you supplied the requested item, and whether each attempt received a confirmation. Match a new estimate with the request it describes. If there is no new estimate, give support these records and ask which timing guidance applies to the current request.
When the relevant estimate has passed and the status is unchanged, check the application for an unanswered document or confirmation request. If you completed it, report when in the existing conversation. If there is no new request, ask support about the application type, submission date and current status. Keep following that same application, then act on the approval, rejection or supplement notice you receive.
The app, website or email shows something different
First compare the account. If you registered through Google or Apple but later entered a different email address, make sure you are looking at the same Binance account. Compare an account identifier privately where available; there is no need to post it publicly. Use the original sign-in method when you are unsure which account you opened.
Next compare the item and the time. A general “verified” label and an address request can describe different parts of verification. An old rejection email and a newer submission screen can describe different attempts. Write down the two messages in order instead of choosing whichever one looks more reassuring.
If the page stops displaying a result, record the error and check whether an upload or submission is still processing. Let an active submission return a result. Once it finishes, reopen the same application through the official account menu and check its status and notices. If the result remains unavailable, tell support the last step you successfully completed and what appeared when you returned.
If the disagreement remains, send support the two status descriptions and when you saw them. Ask which one applies to the current application and whether an action is outstanding. If you discover that you submitted incorrect personal details, ask how to correct that specific request; do not wait for approval merely because a review is in progress.
Ask about the application without starting again
Open help from Binance’s official website or app. The Binance support guide, updated 11 June 2026, describes starting with Get Support and selecting the options for further help when the suggested answer does not resolve the problem. The choices can include an unresolved answer, more questions and a request for customer service; an agent may require account checks or have a queue.

A short, ordered explanation is easier to answer than a large collection of unrelated screenshots. Include the type of verification, the submission date you know, the status now, and any later request you answered. If you have an existing case for this application, continue it where possible so the history stays together.
You can write: “My residential address application still says under review. I submitted it on [date and time zone] and supplied the requested complete statement on [date]. I cannot see another request. Has the latest document been received, and is anything still needed from me?” Replace the details with your own; if receipt is uncertain, make that explicit.
When support replies, identify the requested action: wait, supply an item or confirm information.
For a wait, keep the new timing instruction. For a supplement, record the item, submission route and completion time. Keep your reply deadline separate from the review estimate. If you originally asked whether a file was received but the answer only describes normal review times, ask about receipt again in that conversation.
If you cannot sign in, explain that limitation when using the available official help options. Do not create another account just to make the waiting status disappear. Keep private documents within the verified official process when requested, and never give this website, a promoter or a stranger your password or verification codes.
If someone offers paid help to speed up approval, return to the official conversation and check whether that request belongs to your application. Keep control of your account and do not send the person passwords or verification codes. Preserve the original application reference, official notices and completed supplement records. Continue through the same official channel to ask whether you should wait or provide information.
Two questions about waiting
Will submitting everything again speed up the review?
There is no basis in the guidance checked here for treating a duplicate submission as a faster review. Supply extra information when it is requested, or ask how to correct an error in the existing application. Keep the submission record.
What if my page gives no estimated completion time?
Identify which check is pending, use the relevant published timing as a reference, and look for outstanding requests. If it remains unchanged beyond that period, ask support about the application. Do not assume a new deadline after every supplement.
